Shelley Young and Kimberly Stewart are not afraid of ghosts.
They go out searching for them.
These local psychics have been working on a documentary film
about paranormal investigations. The investigations are filmed
in people's homes or businesses that have paranormal activity.
The women were recently at an undisclosed haunted location
where reports of a woman dressed in white had been seen in the
basement.
Stories of strange odours, flashes of white light and bolts of
fabric flying off a shelf were told by inhabitants. Inaudible
conversations and a child calling "mommy" were heard when no
one was there.
The pair use machines called electromagnetic field detectors,
which measures the electromagnetic energy. The machine
registered quite high that evening, meaning there was a lot of
activity.
Several orbs (balls of light con-sidered to be spirits) were
captured on digital cameras throughout the evening.
Stewart said she sensed the spirits of a young girl named Emma
or Emily and a former maintenance man. Stewart used a pendulum
to sense spirit activity. It began swinging back and forth very
quickly.
Young proceeded to call out for the young girl, asking her to
move on and that she is not supposed to be there. Young called
this act "clearing."
Although Young said she felt the inhabiting spirits were
friendly, she said all spirits should be released.
The duo believes spirit energy is more abundant when there is a
full moon.
Young and Stewart want to raise awareness for people to realize
spirits are a natural part of life. "The documentary (we are
making) is a compilation of all the psychic services we offer,"
explains Young, who offers training in psychic arts. Young says
she helps people to empower themselves and be spiritually
awakened.
The women are looking for more locations to film and document.
In exchange they will cleanse the area of any unwanted spirits.
