The three Sudbury founders of ConceptShare Inc. are celebrating the launch a major upgrade to their online design collaboration tool this week, and a new partnership with a major software company.

ConceptShare was established a year ago by Scott Brooks, Bernie Aho and Chris D’Aoust. The company has doubled its staff in its Long Lake Rd. office in the past year.

Monster.com, the National Football League, the New York Knicks, Best Buy and Harvard University are among those on ConceptShare’s growing client list of international marketing agencies, professional sports teams and leagues, large retailers, and internet and software companies.

The Online Design Collaboration Tool helps designers get design projects done faster, and save time and money spent on meetings. The tool enables designers to easily share designs with other designers, colleagues and clients.

Discussions about visual concepts are centralized, improving communication and working relationships between designers and stakeholders.

Corel has partnered with ConceptShare to deliver www.CorelDRAWConceptShare.com, the first project in a five-year partnership between the two companies.

“We are enthusiastic about our partnership with Corel. The CorelDRAW version of ConceptShare provides us immediate exposure to millions of CorelDRAW users worldwide and will help to accelerate our growth into international markets,” said Aho, product manager and co-founder of ConceptShare in a news release.

“This strategic partnership demonstrates a new model for relationships between web application providers and desktop software companies.”

Corel is a leading developer of graphics, productivity and digital media software with more than 100 million users worldwide. The company’s product portfolio includes many widely recognized software brands.

Corel’s products are sold in more than 75 countries through a network of international resellers, retailers, original equipment manufacturers, online providers and Corel’s global websites. The company’s headquarters are located in Ottawa.
