Sudbury and District Health Unit welcomes the public to the grand opening of its new clinic in the Rainbow Centre on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility and talk to the staff until 7 p.m.
Among those hosting the event will be medical officer of health Dr. Penny Sutcliffe and board of health chair Janet Gasparini.
The facility, staffed by public health nurses and nurse practitioners, offers a sexual health clinic, growing family health clinic and immunization.
The health unit is a public health agency funded by the province and city and governed by the board of health. Headquartered on Paris Street, it has branch offices in St. Charles, Mindemoya, Espanola and Chapleau.
