The Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers has been extremely busy this fall preparing for our annual fundraiser, Vive Le Vin, which is set for Nov. 21 at the Caruso Club.

The festivities get underway at 7 p.m.

This year promises to be the best event ever. Under the direction of Louise Bergeron and her committee, a gala evening is promised.

The evening features wines from around the world paired with cheeses from those regions.

Additionally, there is a light evening buffet which, for all intents and purposes, easily passes as a full meal.

There is a DJ and dancing, and topping everything off is an open bar.

There is a silent auction featuring many exciting items. Rotarians from our club have hit the streets running to secure only top-notch silent auction items — no one will be disappointed.

The reverse draw is back as well, supervised by our own Mick Weaver. In addition, there are several other draws that participants can have an opportunity to get in on by purchasing tickets.
One of the fantastic prizes is a weekend trip to Toronto, complete with tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs-Ottawa Senators hockey game.

There is also an opportunity to purchase a key that could unlock a bar fridge filled with bottles of vintage wine — the person with the winning key takes home the fridge and the wine.

This is an event not to be missed. Participants get to enjoy a great evening with music, food and good friends, and also help the community — how special is that!

Proceeds from the event support various charities. Half of the proceeds will also go to Rotary Park to support the clubs’ effort to maintain and improve the park for the enjoyment of all of the citizens of Greater Sudbury. Other recipients of the proceeds from this event, as chosen by our selection committee are: YES Theatre, Easter Seals, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer and Angels in Pink.

Your participation in this worthwhile event helps us to help others in the community, so please help us to make this event the best event ever.

Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers, or send an email request to [email protected].

So we look forward to seeing everyone at the Caruso club on Nov. 21 — the party is on!
