Think of dad, and other fatherly mentors - Dave Battaino

On this Father’s Day, take a moment to reflect on the man or men who have been a father or mentor in your life.

Whether a man of political office, perhaps a surgeon holding life in his hands, a brakeman on the railway, a miner toiling underground, a garbage collector on a sunny summer morning, or a teacher.

Whether imprisoned or walking freely about, whether popular or not, whether employed or not, whether a man of financial wealth or the poorest man on the planet.

Whether already passed from this world or of this world, whether a soldier in peace or in war, whether a thief or an honest man, whether a simple man of thought or not. Whether young or old or young at heart.

Cherish you, as their son or daughter, for eternity as the greatest thing that has ever happened to them.
