Accident victims thank passing ‘angel’ - Lisa Brancati

On New Year’s eve, my husband, my daughter, myself and our dog were in a car collision at one of the major intersections downtown.

It was not our fault at all. Someone was really in a big hurry, which unfortunately ended up in a big bang of disaster. Needless to say, we had to spend the welcoming of 2012 in the hospital.

The very reason I wrote this letter is to give thanks to the gentleman who was driving a dark pickup truck that night around 8:22 p.m. in the left-turn lane at Brady St., towards the Paris bridge.

He was there attending to my family, checking us all and making sure we were safe.

Although our anxiety, stress, pain, concussions and contusions kept us in our own paranoid world, we as a family are grateful to this extraordinary man.

His deeds made our sufferings tolerable and gave us assurance that there are still good people left in this ever-changing world. We will never forget. He definitely is an angel in disguise.
