The 2012 Desjardins Roulons pour la Maison Wheels for Hospice held on Aug. 19 was a great success.

We have raised $33,000 in cash donations, with roughly 200 people participating in the event, including more than 100 motorcycles.

The board, staff and volunteers of Maison Vale Hospice would like to express their appreciation to all participants and sponsors, starting with our title sponsor, Desjardins, and our host club, the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers (CMC) Club - Chapter 049 of Sudbury.

CMC also organized a collection toll at all Vale entrances and raised a grand total of $7,501.63. Special thanks to Vale for this opportunity and to all the hourly staff and contractors who gave at the gates on that early Friday morning.

Special thanks to our event sponsors: Vale, Beef n’ Bird, Kia Sudbury Motors, Vespa of Sudbury, Piller’s and Media Concepts for their support and participation.

The hospice would also like to give tribute to all the Desjardins volunteers who worked tirelessly and the branch managers for allowing us to use their branches along the route.

All the funds raised at the Desjardins Roulons pour la Maison Wheels for Hospice stay in our community and go towards operating costs of our community residential hospice.
