I would like to thank the Sudbury Developmental Services Mountain Street relief home. It is a great help for parents who have their developmentally-delayed child there for an occasional weekend or so.

I had booked my daughter in for 10 days in the summer so I could enjoy an eight-day vacation, visiting family and friends in southern Ontario.

Also, when a family member passed away, they took her for an emergency weekend so I could attend the out-of-town funeral.
Just a weekend here or there is so important to give parents a weekend alone.

This time is just as important to the clients.
My daughter loves going there. We can’t tell her she’s “going visiting” to Mountain Street until we’re almost ready to go, as she gets very vocal, wanting to go right away.

It’s a very good socialization for the clients, and the staff is very excellent in their care. Again, I sincerely thank you for being there and providing a valuable service to myself, my daughter and all her friends who also go to the relief home.
