Park cuts anger reader - Lorraine Noble

I read with shock about the closing of 10 provincial parks. I am angry. One of the parks, Obatanga, is our favourite in Northern Ontario. I have not been to all of them, but probably half.

We prefer to camp in Northern Ontario. The parks are beautiful quiet and very relaxing. That is what holidays are for.

The parks in Southern Ontario are so busy you have to book far in advance. We like to travel out west, and have our stops all planned up north, but don’t reserve, because I know no matter when we arrive, we will still have a spot.

We have been camping in provincial parks for more than 40 years, and would hate to see any of them close. If there is a petition to be signed, let me know. I will sign in a minute.
