Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers would like to thank everyone who attended our Race Against Crime night at Sudbury Downs Sept. 29.

As always, the event was a fun-filled night of live harness racing, and we all enjoyed the great prime rib buffet meal in the Mardi Gras Dining Lounge.

Our night at the races fundraiser is a popular event for Crime Stoppers, and through the funds raised at the event, we are able to continue to assist law enforcement in solving and preventing crimes within our community.

Although we had a wonderful evening, our directors, staff and volunteers are aware that this could be our final night at the races event.

Crime Stoppers would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff at Sudbury Downs that have worked with us over the past four years to ensure that everyone who attended our fundraisers had a wonderful time and looked forward to returning the following year.

Ken and Andrew were our go-to contacts at Sudbury Downs, and were always available to assist with any questions we had. Jim and Corey oversaw everything in the dining room and made sure that our guests enjoyed a wonderful meal and had everything they needed.

Our trophy blanket presentations always ran smoothly under the direction and guidance we received from Steve.

Over the years, we have received numerous compliments from our guests, telling us how much they enjoyed their evening, and we know that is because of the employees at Sudbury Downs that they had a wonderful time.

We hope that we will be able to hold our event again next year, but should that not be possible, we wish the employees at Sudbury Downs every success in their future, and we hope our paths will cross so that we have the opportunity to work together.

Marc Bidal
president of Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers
