Wynne policy gives reader deja vu - Dave Battaino

Premier Kathleen Wynne stated she would like to strike a committee of ministers to examine the Northern Ontario landscape, mythically speaking.

I’m scratching my head over this one for several reasons: Mr. Bartolucci has been the Liberal bag man for Northern Ontario for about 20 years. Has he not properly represented the needs of Northern Ontario in his many ministerial portfolios?

Is this what Wynne alludes to? Are we going to have a Liberal committee made up of ministers from everywhere but Northern Ontario tell us what we need?

Did former mayor John Rodriguez, Vic Fideli and other northern mayors not meet several times to pull this together to present to the provincial government?

Sounds like the movie Groundhog Day to me. It also sounds like lip service to the the wealthy business interests who control the Liberals just nodding their heads and saying “Yep, that’s our girl.”
