An at-large city councillor system is the last thing I would want to see here in Greater Sudbury.
I really don’t care for Sudbury’s needs at all. All I care about our my needs here in Azilda, and who represents me. If anything, we need to go back to the way things were before and de-amalgamate.
Before amalgamation I found there was a lot less stress, a lot less red tape and a lot less controversy over ridiculous subjects that keep coming up over and over again.
We should protest as much as we can, asking that every outskirts town go back to what it was before. I’ve been against amalgamation since it was brought up in the first place while Courtemanche was our mayor.
We were promised so much, yet have seen nothing. Taxes were supposed to drop, services were supposed to go up. Yet it’s been the opposite ever since.
We are too big an area geographically to be all together, and it doesn’t work. Why did we change such a good thing that we had, just to make it worse?
