In the Nov. 19 edition, in the opinion section, Darren said “But by narrowing the road, as has been done on Attlee Street.”

The only thing Attlee Street now offers is dangerous driving for cyclists. The cyclist’s path has been narrowed and forces them in the path of vehicles.

As a driver who regularly uses Attlee, I find that the obstacles they installed do not work to slow down vehicles, as I can maintain a constant speed of 55-60 km/h. That’s the worst example of traffic-calming measures that I have ever seen. In my opinion, it was a big waste of taxpayers’ money.
