City deserves Canada’s best police chief

Last month the city’s police board approved $60,000 to hire a consultant to search for a new police chief.

Our citizens deserve the best chief in Canada, a chief that will build morals and have a open door policy and listen to the men and women that serve our community.

The police service works very hard to keep our city safe and at times does not get the recognition they deserve.

I hope the new chief communicates and listens to the needs and concerns of commissioned and non-commissioned officers and staff.

The national search of a new police chief will bring new ideas and enthusiasm to our police service and the citizens of Sudbury.
