Ever notice how city hall lets things escalate until there is a problem? Ever notice how they take this problem and make a mess of things?

Lately the media has shown the plight of the homeless and the disadvantaged. These are the people who have to listen to empty promises by those that are supposed to help.

City council, as well as the mayor, have stated that dealing with issue of providing access to accommodations in extreme weather conditions, especially the cold, will take six months to a year.

This could bring the issue to a debate maybe in the middle of the summer, or even worse, back to the bad weather season.

A municipal election will take place this fall. Now with the summer holiday season and the focus on the election, the issue could be a hot topic, but it will be too late for any decision by the next cold weather season.
