Congratulations to the Beaver Lake Sports and Cultural Club for your extremely successful Raise The Roof Fundraising Campaign.

It was exciting to attend your media conference Feb. 15 after helping clean-up tables for 178 people at your Winter Carnival Finnish Pancake Breakfast, and to learn that you had reached your Fundraising Goal and could replace the roof of your community centre this spring.

Everyone was thrilled to hear the official announcement from Eija Hietaharju, president of the Beaver Lake Club.

It was impressive to hear first-hand about the effective community, corporate, municipal and provincial partnerships your volunteer board had been able to establish to reach your fundraising goal.

This is a perfect example of effective, long-term partners working together towards ensuring a vital and healthy community.

Congratulations to your board and all the families and volunteers who helped make your Raise The Roof campaign such a success.

Thanks also to The Trillium Foundation, Vale and Councillor Barbeau and the City of Greater Sudbury for partnering with Beaver Lake on this vital, community project.
