Vomit fee could encourage drinking and driving

First of all, I totally understand having a fee to clean a cab. I would like to know how Toronto cabs can clean it for $25 and in Sudbury it’s $50.

The thing that scares me is the impact on students who drink. Most just have enough for beer on a Saturday night. Then on top of the cab fee they need an extra $50.

I hope the fee of $50 does not stop students from using the cab service and cause them to drive home due to lack of funds.

I wonder if the city will be named in a lawsuit should there be a drunk driving case that caused injury or death?

Hey, what the heck, we have the highest tax rate, the highest cost of fuel, and now the highest barf rate. Great impact decision.

Did they even ask any post-secondary students what they thought would be a reasonable rate? Probably not.
