Letter: Ontario Liberals out of touch

If the last year hasn’t convinced people that the Ontario Liberals are completely out of touch with all people in Ontario and totally ignore the democratic process, I don’t know what will.
If the last year hasn’t convinced people that the Ontario Liberals are completely out of touch with all people in Ontario and totally ignore the democratic process, I don’t know what will.

First they spend over $1 billion to ensure they get reelected in a few ridings, then they try to cover it up when that doesn’t work. Then they prorogue the legislature, which is really suspending the democratic process, in order to do damage control and try to hang on to power.

Now they talk about appointing candidates in ridings, further proof they have no consideration for the riding associations, which is the grassroots of the party.

I guess they won’t have us common people in Ontario tell them what to do or what’s best for us. They are so used to doing things to us it seems natural to them to bypass riding associations and do what they think is best.

When a riding association has to threaten to resign to get their attention, I think it’s time for that party to go.

I think if we value the democratic process, we should vote for any party but the Liberals. That party needs to be destroyed and then rebuilt. Maybe the Liberal candidates should all run as independents for this election.
