Letter: Sudburians being gouged at gas pumps

I have just returned from a trip to Northwestern Quebec, Gatineau, Cornwall and Montreal, and never did I pay more than $1.39 a litre for gas. On Route 138 towards Cornwall, the price was $1.25. In downtown Montreal, the common price was $1.29 to $1.

I have just returned from a trip to Northwestern Quebec, Gatineau, Cornwall and Montreal, and never did I pay more than $1.39 a litre for gas.

On Route 138 towards Cornwall, the price was $1.25. In downtown Montreal, the common price was $1.29 to $1.35, in an area where the price is usually much higher than Sudbury.

Another high-price area is Northwestern Quebec, and the common price was $1.29.

In Sudbury we are getting gouged, and with all the politicians around, including the mayor and council, you would think one of them would take the bull by the horns and start a boycott of one outlet to force them to lower prices.

It’s an election year. Come on, someone help us.
