The Police / Pinnacle TRIPLE CROWN Safety Summit / Competition held Aug. 23 at the Carmichael Skate Park on Bancroft Drive in Minnow Lake was a great success.

There were about 80 youths in attendance.

This event was an information and challenge-based day featuring youth bicycle, skateboard and scooter competitions. Assisted by dedicated community partners, this is the second time that members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service have organized this event.

It was well attended and we hope is to repeat the event next year.

Represented at this year’s event were the Sudbury Cyclist Union, CAN BIKE Program, Rainbow Routes, Share the Road, GSPS Spyder Program, GSPS Bike Patrol Officers and Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers.

The major sponsors were Pinnacle Sports, Harvest King and Topper’s Pizza.
