Letter: Good Samaritan turns in bank customer’s cash

On Sept. 22, I was taking $200 from a bank machine. I saw a bank employee I wanted to ask a question, so I got my card out of the machine and walked in the bank. He said I had to wait. Then I realized I hadn’t got the money or the receipt.
On Sept. 22, I was taking $200 from a bank machine. I saw a bank employee I wanted to ask a question, so I got my card out of the machine and walked in the bank.

He said I had to wait. Then I realized I hadn’t got the money or the receipt. The woman in front of the machine said she had not seen anything.

I got $200 out of the other machine and went back into the bank and explained what had happened. I gave the teller my bank card, and she gave me my receipt and my $200. She said a woman turned them in.

I was shocked. Honest people are hard to find. I’d like to thank that woman. She is one of a kind. I wish I could have rewarded her in some way.
