Letter: New councillors better for Sudbury

I am still undecided (on voting in the municipal election). What I do know, and am begging Sudburians to think about, is that even with a new mayor, if the old gang of councillors is re-elected, nothing will change.
I am still undecided (on voting in the municipal election). What I do know, and am begging Sudburians to think about, is that even with a new mayor, if the old gang of councillors is re-elected, nothing will change.

They voted unanimously against trimming their staff, budgets, slush funds, etc., and they will do so again.

Whoever is to be our new mayor needs to work with new blood, with new ideas and the public purse and interest at heart.

Anything less than a completely new council will not work. Vote for whoever you choose as a new mayor, and just give them a chance to work with a group of councillors who understand that we are not happy with the way things have been run.

The power for change is in our hands now. Let’s not mess it up and then complain for another four or five years.
