Letter: ‘Fur mama’ pleads for pooch’s return

If you’ve driven through Valley East lately, you would notice that every stop sign that connects with the main roads have a poster attached.

If you’ve driven through Valley East lately, you would notice that every stop sign that connects with the main roads have a poster attached.

The poster is a missing dog poster offering a reward, provides information about Lola (Bichon Frisé, Female, Ear Tattoo: 86N 7W RE) and to call 705-897-2079 or 705-897-4648.

It is near impossible for someone living in the Valley to not know that Lola is missing, dearly loved, and wanted to be returned home safely.

As Lola’s fur mama, it is very heartbreaking, but for three weeks, I have been knocking on hundreds of doors in various neighbourhoods searching for her or any information that would lead to her safe return.

I hope she is still in the Valley, but I am aware that she may be elsewhere in Sudbury.

Lola is easily lovable and it is understandable that whoever has her is falling in love with this little bundle of joy. She is mostly quiet, has adorable mannerisms, is beautiful, snuggly, and very gentle.

Although this plea is for Lola to be returned to her family, this plea is for Lola’s well-being. Lola suffers separation anxiety and I am her rock.

Underneath her wagging tail and need to be cuddled is likely depression and surely psychological trauma.

Dogs are the psychological equivalent of a two or four-year-old human children. Imagine how a child that age would be feeling. If the taken child were living in Disney Land, they could be temporarily distracted, but overall, they would yearn for their family.

I forgive you. And will help you find a suitable companion of your own.
