Letter: Don’t paint all councillors with same brush

Firstly, let me say that given the dysfunction of council over the last term, I was of the belief a total purge was required around the council table.
Firstly, let me say that given the dysfunction of council over the last term, I was of the belief a total purge was required around the council table. How can we bring back the old councillors expecting different results from the previous era?

That was until a recent issue with a property we have in the greater city. The property is not in the ward in which we reside, but I contacted our councillor, Evelyn Dutrisac, for her help.

It was a pleasant experience dealing with Mrs. Dutrisac, as she addressed our concerns in person, facilitated meetings with the various department heads, followed up with city staff and kept us informed during the entire process.

Mrs. Dutrisac does care, and worked hard on our behalf to bring the issue to a successful conclusion.

This has made me rethink my initial belief that change was needed around the council table. Not all should be painted with the same brush.
