Letter: Owners appreciate community’s support

We want to thank all of those in the community for the overwhelming support and assistance. Many have asked us along the way, ‘When is the restaurant opening?’ The answer to that question, given the circumstance, left us wondering the same.
We want to thank all of those in the community for the overwhelming support and assistance.

Many have asked us along the way, ‘When is the restaurant opening?’ The answer to that question, given the circumstance, left us wondering the same. With the help of so may, we never imagined the events that would soon unfold.

Tony D’Angelo, property owner and owner of Joe Lesar Men’s Wear, was planning his retirement. Tony offered the location next to where we were originally on Cedar Street, so we took it.

Soon after, a volunteer campaign was launched to assist us financially as we were unexpectedly in need of a new restaurant and out of work. Engineers, architects, contractors, etc., were retained and a huge undertaking was underway. Volunteer designers, creative carpenters and artistic contributions made the space truly magnificent.

Much of the old furnishings in the former Joe Lesar were purchased from Tony and incorporated into the dining room area, which boasts seating for up to 80 people. Over the course of six months, extensive renovations took place, a new menu was drafted and, as expected, it was all challenging. What go us through was this strong sense of belonging to this community.

The relentless enthusiasm and dedication of those involved kept us on track, and here we are.

It is with great pride that we introduce the new face with the same taste. Join us this Friday for the grand opening of our restaurant, located at 67 Cedar St., in the heart of Greater Sudbury. It’s expected to be a busy event, so making reservations is recommended.
