Letter: Sick boy’s family ‘overwhelmed’ by support

On Nov. 13, our family was honoured and overwhelmed by the support we received at Live Laugh Love for Luka - a dinner and auction in support of our family, specifically for our five-year-old son diagnosed earlier this year with leukemia. What an amazing evening.

Thank you does not seem adequate to acknowledge the organizing team, the family, friends and community who attended, the many sponsors, and those who couldn’t attend but spread the word and helped in any way.

Luka is fortunately responding well to treatment to this point, and is working hard to overcome side effects as he continues to receive chemo for the next three years.
