Letter: PC candidate the best choice for Sudbury

Contrary to managing editor Mark Gentili’s comments in his column in the Jan. 27 edition of Northern Life, this election is about honesty and integrity, and has nothing to do with either voting with my head or my heart.

The Liberal candidate for the Sudbury riding in the coming election has demonstrated he is an opportunist ready to change his colours from orange to red with hope the voters of Sudbury will be naive enough to elect him as their MPP.

According to the Oxford dictionary, a chameleon is a creature noted for the power of changing colours, and is also one who is inconsistent.

If you never voted for a socialist before, how would anyone vote for an NDP member who decides to become a Liberal?

Once a socialist, always a socialist.

The Liberal government of Kathleen Wynne has put this province into a $15-billion debt and does not deserve to have an extra seat added to her majority government.

Sudburians must send her government a message.

Kathleen Wynne has demonstrated irresponsibility as a leader of a government, losing control of the deficit, including a record high unemployment in the province.

The cost of electricity has more than doubled for householders and businesses in Ontario and more increases are forecast in the future.

The gas plant scandal has cost more than $1 billion, not including the expensive and inefficient wind energy, which has been a complete failure and will affect taxpayers of this province for the next couple of generations.

Wynne says she is sticking to issues. The real issue in this election is the complete mismanagement of Ontario by the Liberals. In the years before they took power, Ontario was the engine of Canada’s economy.

As voters, if we demand good representation at Queen’s Park, we must look at our local Progressive Conservative candidate to represent the Sudbury riding.
