Letter: Free Sudbury of unfair gas gouging

On Dec. 29, I saw that the price of gas in Sudbury rose by about .09 cents a litre. When I checked Gas Buddy and other sources around the province for gas prices, I couldn’t find any other city in Ontario that brought up their prices.
On Dec. 29, I saw that the price of gas in Sudbury rose by about .09 cents a litre.

When I checked Gas Buddy and other sources around the province for gas prices, I couldn’t find any other city in Ontario that brought up their prices. Sudbury seems to have a dubious reputation for this type of practice.

The citizens of Sudbury should wake up to the reality that somewhere, somehow we are being gouged.

This practice is not just related to what the oil corporations deem the price to be in Sudbury, but in part due to a monopoly of gas stations ownership in Sudbury.

This has been going on for a few years. This issue should be brought out in the open to find ways to stop this practice.
