Letter: Thibeault’s actions didn’t surprise reader

We shouldn’t be too surprised at Glenn Thibeault’s opportunistic and despicable move to do whatever is best for Glenn Thibeault.

He gave us a preview a few years back when he, along with some of his colleagues, at the bidding of his boss, obsequiously flip-flopped on his position on the long gun registry and betrayed most of his constituents.

Besides their arbitrary and disrespectful way of casting aside (and allegedly bribing) a probable winner in Andrew Olivier, this is the same Ontario Liberal party that paid $10,000 to have someone erase all the damning computer data regarding the gas plant cancellations that cost taxpayers over $1.1 billion.

That, on top of the other scandals involving Ornge, e-Health, Hydro smart meters and energy fiasco and MaRs. The Liberals under Wynne continue to waste money by the billions.

Thibeault’s actions are clearly demonstrating the reason why so many of us are cynical of politicians. Too bad, because there are surely many competent, honest and trustworthy politicians out there who really value their integrity and their constituents.
