Reading about the streetlights and how staff would like to have them exchanged for new ones, my question is why the city would even think of this while there are parts of our city that have no streetlights?

Is it proper for those without a streetlight to pay for this? Some of these areas pay higher taxes and get no sewer and water or bus services. Now, the city says, “Sorry, no street lights for you, but we are going to update the rest of the city.”

Is this in the best interest of public safety? Is one part of the city better then the other?

Start lighting up the dark areas of our city. These people pay taxes, too.
