I recently made three visits to Health Sciences North May 6, 7 and 13 of this year.

The May 6 visit was for a colonoscopy. The nursing staff contacted me a few weeks before with directions on the procedure, and what I had to do before arriving to the hospital. She also sent me in the mail a letter with all the directions, and also called a few days before to confirm the procedure and to see if there was any last minute questions.

At the hospital, from the volunteer desk to the recovery room, every staff member treated me with respect and made me feel at ease and happy.

On May 7, I was there for pre-op for hernia surgery, and I spent another half day with staff, who were very polite and made me smile and laugh. All my questions were answered and the staff made it a pleasant day.

On May 13, I had my hernia surgery, and, once again, from arrival to the escort to the door of the car taking me home was another seamless and enjoyable day. Without the little jokes and great sense of humour I experienced, it could have been a day with nervous and scared outcomes.

We should all be thankful that Health Science North is a place that gives top quality care and service that we should all be proud of.

Thank you for the wonderful services that I received.
