The Anderson Farm Museum Heritage Society (AFMHS) was thrilled when more than 1,000 people of all ages, joined us at the Anderson Farm Museum (AFM) for our first ever Rock The Farm Canada Day Celebration.

It was a huge success, and we really rocked the farm.

The AFMHS would like to thank everyone who helped us make our celebration such a success:

Our special guests, who brought greetings for our Canada Day Ceremony: MPP France Gélinas, Mayor Brian Bigger, Coun. Michael Vagnini and Joanne Chevrier, Sudbury Credit Union;

Our Canada Day sponsors: KICX917, Sudbury Credit Union, Walden Winter Carnival Committee, Create-A-Cake, and Mike Doyle Dodge;

Our Rock The Farm artists, who really Rocked The Farm: Benham and The Bluez Brotherz, backed up by the Notorious Funkmonsters Band;

Our 20 Rock The Farm Farmers Market Vendors, local farmers, craft and business vendors and four new hot and snack food vendors who provided delicious summer suppers and snacks;

Our community partners and sponsors who provided free activities and displays: GS Volunteer Firefighters, Dare 2 Dream Alpacas, Sudbury & District Kennel Club, Mike Doyle Dodge and Nordic Energy;

Leslee Salo and Northern Ontario Agri-Food Education and Marketing for organizing free fun activities for children. Special thanks to the youth volunteers who helped her;

Our volunteer photographer, Morgan Penny, whose photos capture the spirit of our three free annual events at the AFM: Her Rock The Farm photos are posted on our AFMHS Facebook page;

Finally, our amazing community sponsors: The Walden Lions, 1st Waters Scouts, Trinity Church Youth Group and AFM summer students.

We couldn’t host Rock The Farm without their generous support.
