Tax freeze results in layoffs at City Hall: Letter

It really goes to show you cannot trust politicians, no matter what form it is. When campaigned on the principle of not raising taxes, everyone, including those running for office, knows that everything increases each year.

It really goes to show you cannot trust politicians, no matter what form it is.

When campaigned on the principle of not raising taxes, everyone, including those running for office, knows that everything increases each year. To say we won’t raise your taxes is blowing it out their ears.

Now they can’t keep their promise and are taking it out on city workers. Oh, they would not admit to that, but that’s just what’s going on.

Why don’t they lay off some of the management where the big dollars are? That would never happen because they are the one who make the decisions on who goes. It’s a real shame the people of this great community have to put up with crap.

Just wait till you see next year’s tax hike!
