City passing another poorly thought out bylaw

I shake my head yet again when I hear the news.

Once again, I will become an offender, because of a poorly thought-out bylaw.

Starting in April, I will be a weekly offender, because the councillors in Sudbury seem to forget, that most people here work shifts, and start at all different hours.

I now know that I can be charged each week when I put my garbage out, because I leave for work between 4-430 a.m., (while our councillors are still snug in their beds).

My garbage has to go out before I leave for work, while the people who passed the bylaw obviously sleep in much later.

The root of the problem seems to be that bears tear the garbage apart.

Go figure.

We taught them about this food source. I guess changing the time we put the food out will make them go away. No, really, it will.

They could never be as smart as say a dog or cat who learns what time their food is put out each day.

Since the garbage trucks don’t roll by until after 8 a.m., shouldn’t we say you can’t put the garbage out till 8 a.m.? Or, how about you have to stay home and wait until the truck shows up at your driveway, and make it a just-in-time delivery service?

Think about it, the bears will not go away because you change when you put the garbage (food) out, it will only change when they show up.
