New radio station to play hits

Newcap Radio will launch a radio station called New HOT 93.5 FM today (Aug. 25) at noon.

The channel had been playing classic Chinese music since last week as a publicity stunt.

“The New HOT 93.5 will be Sudbury source for new music, lifestyle trends and pop culture,” stated a press release from Newcap.

Artists like the Black-Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake will be prominently featured on the station.
