Canada in the Rough, a Canadian-produced hunting television show, is going to have a new, local flavour.

The show, produced by Dancing Buffalo Productions, is entering its sixth season with a new theme song, In the Rough, by Greater Sudbury's Larry Berrio. He co-wrote the song with Gil Grand and Tony Ramey.

According to Canada in the Rough's website, the show is the only hunting show to air on a non-specialty channel, as the show airs on GlobalTV.

The show, which airs on Sundays at 8 a.m., will kick off its sixth season on Jan. 3 with a recording of Berrio performing his song at Stampede Ranch in Guelph, Ont. The performance was filmed live on Oct. 25.

The show, which features hunting adventures all over Canada, was hosted for the first five seasons solo by Thomas Pigeon. Pigeon returns this season with new co-hosts, brothers Kevin, Keith, and Paul Beasley.
