A tattoo artist from Precision Ink, as well as a guest artist from out of town, will be tattooing cancer ribbons on people who have been touched by cancer, and those wishing to show their support this weekend at the annual Tattoo for a Cure event, June 27.

Taryn Gadde, owner of Precision Ink, said the event has been well-received for the last two years, and hopes this year's campaign will go as well.

“Each year, we are deeply touched by the stories of triumph, perseverance, and of course, loss,” Gadde stated in a press release from Precision Ink. “It's a very emotional day for all involved.”

Along with tattoo artists, a representative from Rendezvous Hair Salon will be doing coloured hair extensions, and Beauty Begins will give out prizes for people who donate to the cause.

Donations and profits from the event will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Tattoo for the Cure will take place at Precision Ink from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

For more information, or to book an appointment, phone Precision Ink at 522-4655.
