Celebrities get blue in the face

Nine celebrities from Greater Sudbury's media outlets competed in the Downtown Sudbury Celebrity Blueberry Pie Eating Contest on July 22.

NorthernLife.ca reporter Jenny "Blueberry Jelly" Jelen made her debut at the pie eating table and came in 6th place.

Spectators gathered around the table at the Rainbow Centre, cheering on their favourite media personality.

Amy "The Pie Dodger" Dodge, the 2009 champion from Eastlink, went at her pie in an attempt to defend her title.

However, a moment of weakness gave Matt "The Berry Burglar" Sampaio, from Hot 93.5, a chance to take the lead, and take back the title he owned in 2008.
