Two new films, Barney's Version and Casino Jack, have been added to the roster, according to a press release from Cinéfest.
Barney's Vision is a comical story about Barney Panosky, a man who drinks, smokes and loves too much. A former acquaintance threatens to reveal secrets of Panosky's past, but Panosky beats him to it. The cast includes Paul Giamatti as Panosky and Dustin Hoffman, Rosamund Pike and Scott Speedman.
The film will close the festival. Following it will be a reception at Bryston's on the Park in Copper Cliff at 9 p.m.
Casino Jack, scheduled as the gala show for Sept. 20, is the story of slick, charismatic Jack Abramoff. Abramoff loves his family, but he loves money too. The film chronicles his schemes to stay on top of his game.
