Having a splash

The recently completed Splash Park was celebrated with a ribbon cutting by families, dignitaries and Greater Sudbury staff on Aug. 26, after being rescheduled due to rain. This is one of five Splash Pads throughout the city.

  • You know what would really be a splash?

    If the city hadn't screwed the developer of the water park off 144 in Rayside, that place would have been great.
    It sits there. Dry. A testimony to the bloks, taxes, and red tape our city is famous for.
    From dragging on permits to denial of road access and signs. The list got so deep and expensive that they pulled the plug.
    Why doesn't the city purchase the equipment and construct it as a tourist spot off Ramsay Lake?
    Nah........that would make too much sense.
