Sean Dubé has designed a way to prevent caulking from drying out. It’s called the SmartCap.

After trying everything, including nails, screws, tape and golf tees, to save his caulking, Dubé decided to create something that would do the job. The cap is used to puncture an opening in the tube and seal the product.

Dubé’s product is sold in stores throughout Greater Sudbury, such as Home Hardware, Ace, Castle Lumber, Tim-Br Mart, Barrydowne Paint, Plumbing Warehouse and Emco. The product is $3.99 for a package of two.
