Film crews from Carte Blanche Films Inc. were shooting on Elgin Street earlier today.

The company, which put out Meteo+, a television sitcom that fictionalized a weather network in Northeastern Ontario, began airing on TFO, February 14, 2008, is working on a francophone series Les Bleus de Ramville.

“We wanted a more realistic look with a small-town feel, and shooting on location offers the opportunity for the local community to be more involved in the process,” Tracy Legault, executive producer, said at a press conference last February.

The first episode of the hockey-based drama is set to air on TFO in January 2012.
