What do Perry Dellelce, Lana Tailor, and Dead Celebrity Status have in common?

Yes, they are all from Sudbury. But they’re also special guests on the next episode of The Episode.

Wait — what’s The Episode? If you haven’t heard, it’s the sweetest darn thing to hit local TV channels in quite some time.

I think the actual description reads something more like “a talk show filmed live at downtown Sudbury’s SRO that incorporates a touch of comedy with a dab of debate and a bit of reporting, all sprinkled with a healthy dose of entertainment,” but “the sweetest darn thing to hit local TV channels in quite some time” works just as well.

The Dec. 1 edition of the show is only further evidence of it.

A savvy hometown lawyer making it in the big leagues, a stunning actress/cover model/TV host and some of the country’s finest hip-hoppers are a surefire way to up the entertainment value of a Thursday night.

If that’s not enough, former CTV Sudbury anchor Shannon Martin will also share her findings on what city folk have to say about Sudbury — and our “large nickel.”

But the masterminds behind The Episode didn’t stop there — this half-hour is packed to the ceiling with awesome.

The much-anticipated results of the search for a female host will also air.

If you haven’t been following the hype, the team made the decision to bring in a co-host to accompany Shawn McLaren and Alex Francis, the current faces of the show, on camera. The only real requirement was that she be a girl.

So naturally, I applied. I mean, I am a girl.

To make a short story even shorter, they decided I was the one for the job. The fine fellows of The Episode will tell you all about it when you tune in to EastLink (also known as channel 10) tonight at 7, 9 or 11 p.m.
