Victor Frank Vere recently snapped this photo of two racoons on the Killarney Logging Road. The racoons were “frightened by a moose coming through the bush,” Vere wrote in an e-mail to Northern Life. “They beat a retreat to the base of this tree, surveyed the possibilities, scampered up the trunk, and surveyed the scene from above.”
