NDP leadership candidate Paul Dewar is hosts a fundraising concert at the Townehouse this Saturday for locked-out Caterpillar workers.

In a media release, Dewar said because Caterpillar has locked out 450 workers from its locomotive plant in London, and is demanding wage cuts of over 50% from workers, he decided to put on a show to fundraise for the affected employees.

And he's called on a few of his friends to help him do it.

Co-hosting the concert are Northern Ontario MPs Charlie Angus, Claude Gravelle, and Glenn Thibeault, with performances from Paul Loewenburg, Kevin Closs, OB and Kill the Autocrat and Dewar himself.

Tickets are $25.

The event kicks off at 2 p.m. at The Townehouse, 206 Elgin Street, in Sudbury.
