Students from Thorneloe University's theatre arts program and Cambrian College's technical theatre program are joining forces to present Down the Main Drag.
The “quirky Quebecois play” runs at Thorneloe from March 2-3 and March 8-10 at 8 p.m., and a matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 10.
The production is set in a small town where “nothing much ever happens;” however, the production takes place on an unusual day.
After a young man's father disappears on the kitchen floor, a search ensues.
“The play's twisted and tender humour celebrates humanity's ability to help each other get through the hardest of days,” a media release stated. “After all, there must be something better on the way.”
Director Bill Lane said the piece is “so full of life and energy.”
Tickets to the production can be purchased for $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors from Black Cat and at the door.
