TEDx arrives in Sudbury

For the last 25 years, ideas worth spreading about technology, entertainment and design have been at the forefront of what TED is all about. Now, Sudbury can experience the phenomenon firsthand with its very own TEDx conference.

For the last 25 years, ideas worth spreading about technology, entertainment and design have been at the forefront of what TED is all about.

Now, Sudbury can experience the phenomenon firsthand with its very own TEDx conference.

“The vision of this event has been shaped, constructed and executed by local youth who care deeply about TED, the philosophies behind it and Sudbury's stories,” Suzanne Shawbonquit, TEDxYouth@NickelCity event curator, said. “We feel it's imperative to bridge the concept of TED and its brilliant ideas to the community of Sudbury, as well as identify local talents and thinkers.”

The conference, which is an independently produced version of the original TED, takes place April 26 at the Cambrian College eDome. Tickets are now on sale for $25 on a first come, first served basis.
