Marie-Paule Parent knows what its like to be single in her golden years — it can easily become lonely.

That's why the Chelmsford resident opted to start a club for other seniors, 55-years-old or better, looking for fun outings and perhaps companionship.

“I’m doing this because I think there’s a great need,” she said. The club started at this time last year, and is gearing up for another summer of monthly events.

To learn more about the club, or to register, phone Parent at 705-479-6235.
