When examining Sudbury's early history, a few gaps still remain.

The New Sudbury Historical Society is looking to change that, with help from the people who call it home.

The society recently incorporated with the Ontario Historical Society, furthering their dedication to documenting the history of the area. For the last two-and-half years, members of the group have been meeting monthly at the New Sudbury library, sharing any photos, stories and documentation they can find on the former farm land.

Anyone who has information to contribute is encouraged to share it. In the fall, the society is planning a strategy to gather information on churches, schools and business development in the area. Any and all other details are welcomed, too.

To get in touch with the society, phone 705-524-9436 or email artpet@persona.ca.
