La Slague has an “impressive” series of performers lined up for its 2012-13 season. Bigger than last year, with three times the number of events, this year's festival promises more great Francophone music.

“Our strategy is simple,” said Stéphane Gauthier, La Slague's director. “It boils down to booking great artists.

“We want our patrons to thoroughly enjoy the show, to associate that experience with the name La Slague, and to expect another great evening the next time we bring a new act to town.”

Artists performing in the upcoming season include:

Grande Slague Series: Comedy by Gilles Latulippe, Boucar Ciouf and Éric Robitaille, and music by Ariane Moffatt (with Sudbury's own Dayv Poulin)

Petite Slague: Lisa Leblanc, Cécile Doo-Kingué and Patricia Cano with Philémon Chante.

Jeunesses Musicales Canada: Classical music by Flûte Alors, Guitar Nomads, Clarinettes Et Piano, and stage productions of A Christmas Carol and Cosi Fan Tutte.

Children were also thought of, with a presentation by Carmen Campagne on Family Day. The season also includes Cabaret Gainsbourg, held in collaboration with TNO.

Shows take place at Collège Boréal, Laurentian University and within the Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l'Ontario.
